Riverrun and surrounding lands of House Tully

Gideon stood up and instinctively moved his hand to his sword hilt. Before he could tell his brother to get up and dress, he heard his brother standing and tying on his sword belt.
"Is your horse nearby brother?" Gideon said, his eyes never leaving the group.
Pulling his shirt on over his head and tying back his hair, Fabian gave a whistle and his horse came trotting up from behind a group of trees next to the bank. Swords ready to draw, they waited to see what the strangers would do

The riders keep approaching the gates. One older man rides a horse length ahead of the small column of visitors. His black hair is streaked with gray at his temples, along with a few scattered grey hairs in his pointed goatee. His eyes could only be akin to dragonglass; dark, glittering, and very sharp. His clothes are entirely black with red edging, save for the Mortmund crest across his left breast. Several vials are strapped to his belts of various liquids, all of them appear sinister.

You there, open the gates. I need to speak with Lord Tully. He cries out loudly in a caustic voice. I am expected by your lord. Tell him Lord Mortmund is here and requiring his presence.

Fabian climbed onto his horse and steered it into the path of Lord Mortmund, his brother not to far behind. "While I am sure Lord Tully will be glad to meet you with open arms. I am afraid I cannot open the gate with word from the Lord himself."

"Aye," Gideon chimed in. "Even if Lord Tully had told us you were coming, and we wanted to open it to you, we couldn't do a thing from this side of the gate, m'lord."

"However, m'lord for the right price anything can happen." Fabian said with ending with a grin and a wink.

His eyes fill with a dark fire as he becomes rather irritated. Are you stupid boy? I said move aside and let me see Lord Tully. He is expecting me! What are your names? I will tell Lord Tully of this insolence!

"Boy!" Gideon laughed. "I'm damn near as old as you."

"Aye," Fabian chuckled. "And if you just wanted us to move, you only had to ask, M'lord and your servants would obey."

"Can't say much for me and me brother though." Gideon said, continuing to laugh.

"Again m'lord you have mistaken us for men who can move mountains. The best we could do is escort you to the gate not open it."

Then one of you go in and get someone to open the gate! His eyes glitter as hard as black diamonds with rage. I have no time for this.

Maybe it was something he saw in the Lord's eyes, or maybe he simply rememebered his place. Veteran of the two rebellions or not, he was no Lord and this man was. Fabian whistled, and his horse moved around to the side of his brother's. Without words the two wheeled about and rode toward the gate. When they got close, Gideon signaled to the gatemen. "Lord Mortmund is here. Says he's got an audience with Lord Tully."

He huffs impatiently as the gate is raised. He completely ignores the twins as he rides past the and into Riverrun. His men follow suit.

The twins and the Mortmund entourage enter the receiving hall. Edmure Tully sits on the lord's chair, dressed simply in a tunic quartered in red and blue with a trout embroidered upon the center and dark blue leggings.

What is your business with my father Marvolo? Edmure sighs irritatedly.
Surely you know of my father's ailing health?

Marvolo eye twitches slight in aggravation.

It is Lord Tully I must speak to. It is in regards to a marriage proposal.

Edmure lets out a hearty laugh. You mean trying to wed me to one of the Black Widows? Did you not receive the raven stating trouts and spiders are not fit to marry one another? The best one of them could receive is a lord's second or third son, or a bastard. Your men may rest for the night, but be gone by morning's light. Edmure stands and leaves the hall.

"Lord Edmure a moment?" Gideon said catching up to Edmure in the hall " Forgive my brother and I if we acted unwisely by opening the gates for Lord Mormont"

"We did our best to halt them without shedding blood" Fabian said interjecting.

Lord Edmure nods.

I understand. It couldn't truly be avoided. Keep an eye on them. I do not trust them farther than I can throw a boulder.

Gideon nodded. "We'll watch them, m'lord." The brothers bade goodbye to their lord and turned back toward the guest quarters.

As they approached the door they played a game of fingers-palm-fist to decide which side of the barracks they'd watch. Gideon won the west and north. He shook his brother's hand and went to his post.

Fabian moved around to a stump that was in view of the eastern entrance to the barracks and sat to sharpening his blade. He desperately wanted an excuse to use it. His head had cleared for the most part but the wine haze was far from gone. He had almost given up hope that anything interesting would happen when the Mortmund captain came out to take a piss. Fabian had not liked the look of this man from the start. Something about the way he rode his horse made him want to split him from neck to navel.

"I do not remember my Lord giving you leave to take a piss in Riverrun" he said standing from the stump.

In the north of Riverrun, some of Mortmund's troops have gathered. They have found a few peasants from the local village who came to the castle to exchange goods. The young girl and boy, approximately 16 and 10 respectively, are facing taunts and jeers from the soldiers.

Eh, you stupid dirty fish, how about you let us see if you're a cold fish under those skirts now?

The guard grabs at her skirt roughly and she screams shrilly.

You leave my sis alone! The boy yells out and one of the other guards backhands him with a mailed fist. The boys falls to the ground with a bloodied face.

Who said I had to ask permission, bastard?

The captain finishes his business and fixes his breeches.

Go back to the mudhole your whore of a mother birthed you in, river worm.

He starts to walk away...

For most of his life Fabian had been shit upon, after all he was a bastard. He was used to taking lip from natural born knights. However for some reason this man had rubbed him the wrong way, and as always he opened his mouth before he fully thought out what he was saying, and to whom.

" i hear that spider-whores eat their men after sex, so since your still alive I can only guess your a eunuch"

He stood and pulled his sword before the captain could a answer.

His eyes fill with rage as he draws his sword and charges at you. His strokes are sloppy and hasty.

Never, NEVER say that about my wife and family again! You fish-screwing, mud-loving bastard!

Gideon heard the scream and took off running for the north of Riverrun. When he arrived, he saw a boy lying on the ground. The girl, presumably the source of the scream, was still doing her best to resist the advances of the soldiers.

"Excuse me, Ser, I believe the lady is trying to tell you no. You will release her, and be on your way, or I will have to remind you of what happens to guests who attack their hosts."

Side stepping the captain Fabian swung his broadsword and put the flat of it hard against the captain ass with a lous 'smack'.

"apparently my words have struck a nerve with the eunuch." he said laughing

The guards laugh.

Why do you care, she’s just a common whore?

The girl is able to grab her brother in the distraction and run.

Now see what you did? Now we lost our fun! The guards all grumble angrily and surround him.

Fabian continued to laugh. He did little more than spank the man and here he lay face first in the mud and horse shit. Fabian resheathed his sword and went to fetch a jailor. He walked around the corner of the building and was almost ran over by two children.

"Whoa slow down little ones!" he said laughter still in his voice.

After the children left, Gideon stood a little taller. "Unless I'm mistaken, sers, she's no whore. It's a sad day when a lowly bastard has more honor than the finest House Mortmund can offer. Do you always assault children and attack your hosts' men?"

Gideon looked pointedly at the leader of the group. "If you strike me, I promise you, there will be no going back." Carefully, Gideon loosened his sword in its scabbard, ready to draw if they did.

Well, the guards draw their swords then let's start something.

Five guards lunge at Gideon with swords drawn.
